Another fearless day begins (or is winding down, depending on when you choose to listen).
I’ve talked a lot so far in these first 19 episodes about letting go. Maybe that’s because I am letting go of a lot in my own life right now. Maybe I’m shedding. I love this since we’re heading into fall.
But what to ADD IN? What does a fearless life need to have added to it?
This will be different for everyone. We are all at different life stages. I’ve given up quite a bit like drugs, alcohol, smoking, soda, junk food, people who waste my time, toxic people, tangible stuff, emotional stuff, spiritual stuff, health stuff… Oh, so many things. But what have I taken up? Hobbies, yoga, fitness, various workouts, Reiki, meditation, De-cluttering Saturdays, Self-Care Saturdays, listening to podcasts…. So much.
For everything we dump, we make way for the new. Right now, I must be making way for a lot of new! I will be in my house like, “Wow, why do I still have this? It’s gotta go.” I keep letting go of things without knowing where I am going or when. I just know in my bones that I am going somewhere special and I can’t take all this crap with me.
Then something new comes in… Because…Nature abhors a vacuum. Want something new? Get rid of the old stuff. We can’t accumulate all the stuff. Unless you’re a hoarder. Then go ahead. Get down with your crazy. Just give the animals up, OK? We can deal with you hoarding random junk, but you know it’s not right to hoard living breathing furry things, right? Ew. No one wants to be a hoarder.
Ok, all the junk is gone, now what?
Well, what do you want? What do you want more of in your life? Is it fun, joy, or happiness? Ok, what is going to bring that to you. Try this today. It’s one of the most simple and basic life coaching tools. Yet I’ve seen a few people have trouble with it. There are only two questions: What do you want MORE of in your life? What do you want LESS of in your life?
Don’t give copout answers like you, “want more time!” We all do sweets. Think of things you really want in your life which ARE possible on a certain timeframe. This is how goals get started!
