Last summer, I was determined to have the “no bummer summer.” But the Universe doesn't hear the word no (It isn’t listening to negatives) so I ended up having a bummer summer with mysterious and expensive health problems.
This summer, I’m manifesting the best summer yet — end of story!
I want to try new things and enjoy the season especially because I’m a winter hibernator type. Aren’t we all? I’m trying out new coffee shops and hoping to get in that paddleboard yoga class I didn’t get last summer.
With the extra hours of daylight, I don’t even want to go home now! I can chill at a coffee shop all afternoon, then run errands, then go to the gym, and it’s not even dark! I feel like getting things done and visiting friends.
You won’t get me out in winter. I can’t wait to get home and stay there.
So how can we celebrate summer?
Let’s get productive!
So far, I’ve decluttered and deep cleaned this summer. Extra daylight makes me want to be so much more active. Gone are my hygge winter days of snuggling under a giant blanket. I want to move. I want to do things.
The summer solstice — or longest day in the northern hemisphere— is coming up.
What do you do to celebrate the summer solstice? It’s coming up on June 21! It’s the most daylight we’re getting all year. Who doesn’t want more sunlight and, therefore, Vitamin D?
More from the Farmer’s Almanac here.
When I lived in Phoenix, Arizona, a lot of yoga studios like to offer a class with 108 sun salutations on solstice days of the year.
The astrology of the summer solstice 2019
As I write this, we are in a new moon cycle and it’s a time to be setting intentions. But around the 21st, we are in a time of realizing success, optimism, and attraction according to this horoscope. Maybe the seeds you plant now can be realized around the solstice…
I’ve got much more to come for you about how to make the most of summer.
It’s your summer. Where are you at? Are you enjoying the extra daylight? Are you healing from something? Is it time to start something new? What do you want to accomplish by summer’s end?
If it all seems overwhelming, or the thought of having the best summer ever seems like a tall order, don’t worry. I have some suggestions to help you through in the free download below.
