What is Reiki?
Reiki is a traditional Japanese hands-on technique that promotes healing. It’s based on the principle that the Reiki practitioner/Master channels energy into the client/recipient, to activate the natural healing processes of the patient's body and restore physical and emotional well-being.
Reiki is a spiritually-oriented technique gaining traction in hospitals and other caregiving areas as a complimentary therapy.
How to pronounce Reiki?
The proper way to pronounce Reiki is “ray-key.”
What are the benefits of Reiki?
Reiki relaxes; promotes healing; enhances meditation; is a vehicle for meditation & spiritual discovery; brings introspection & self-awareness; helps with sleep; and more. This is just for starters. To truly know the answer to this question, you must experience Reiki. No two experiences with Reiki are alike as Reiki is an intelligent life force energy that goes where it is needed and does it what it’s needed to do.
Reiki Classes
I do not teach Reiki online, but I do teach Reiki 1, 2, and 3 in Phoenix, Arizona at Urban Wellness.
I teach the Western Usui Reiki in the lineage of the International Center for Reiki Training (ICRT).
I am a double Reiki Master in both the Western tradition (ICRT) and the Eastern Tradition (International House of Reiki). I learned both from my Reiki Masters, Donna & Conrad Jestmore in Wichita, KS.
I've been practicing Reiki since 2012 and offering it professionally since 2014.

To learn Reiki from me, please apply by filling out the form below.
My requirements are:
- Fill out the form with all your info including a statement of intent.
- Have you received a Reiki session at least once? If not, you must receive one from me and the cost will be deducted from your deposit.
- You must pay half the class fee as your deposit upfront, which is $100 (less any deduction for a Reiki session).
Once accepted as a student:
- Reiki 1 & 2 require 8 hours of study each for a total cost of $200.
- Reiki 3 requires 16 hours of study for a total cost of $400.
As my student, you will receive:
- Physical book
- Digital Self-Reiki Practice Journal
- Free access to the online community (learn Reiki boundaries, discuss Reiki with like minds & Heather)
- Free access to the online course with practice videos to help you build your skills
- Ongoing help and assistance
- Access to Reiki Community Exchanges (Reiki Shares) at Urban Wellness in Phoenix

I offer Distance Reiki sessions for purchase here and in-person Reiki sessions in Downtown Phoenix at Urban Wellness. I also teach Reiki at Urban Wellness.
